The Garinger Golf Classic was founded in 2023 with one mission: to support Garinger High School’s booster club and the student-athletes who power them. Each year, the tournament raises vital funds to strengthen school teams and awards scholarships to a deserving student-athletes who exemplifies academic excellence, leadership, and sportsmanship.

Since its launch, the Garinger Golf Classic has continued to grow its impact year after year. In 2024, the tournament raised $4,200, and in 2025 that number climbed to $7,500 - an inspiring reflection of our community's support and belief in Garinger's student-athletes. These funds were used to purchase four pushcarts for the girls' golf team, with additional funds disbursed directly to the track & field, football, baseball, basketball, and golf programs to strengthen the Athletic Booster Club and expand scholarship opportunities. Together, these efforts help more Wildcats step confidently into their future.

In 2026, we rebranded the Garinger Alumni & Friends Golf Tournament as the Garinger Golf Classic. This new name reflects our commitment to celebrating the Garinger community, honoring tradition, and supporting our students through scholarships and programs. We look forward to many more years of fun, competition, and giving back community and to the Wildcats!
